Rimpact Pro/Original – Inserts

This package is a mix of the lighter Rimpact Original and the more protective Rimpact Pro. This mix is designed to give you maximum protection in the rear where it’s needed while not adding unnecessary weight in the front.

Rimpact Pro – Best in test!

Rimpact Pro are the inserts from Rimpact that have the highest protection factor. Rimpact Pro has an extra layer of protection designed to absorb and isolate the force of any punctures to protect your tires and rims. Although Rimpact Pro has plenty of protection, the material is flexible, making them easy to install. Rimpact Pro are the inserts that scored best-in-test when Pinkbike tested inserts.

Rimpact Original comes with less protection than the PRO, but they are also significant lighter. The Original effectively dampens vibrations while providing plenty of support for your tires. That means you can run lower air pressure than usual for even better grip and feel. Plus, your hands will thank you for Rimpacts. Because of its amazing ability to cushion the terrain, your hands will stay fresh for much longer.

Rimpact Pro Dual Density Protection – Better protection for your rims and tires

After creating Rimpact Original, Rimpact sat down at the desk again to create an insert with even better protection. The idea was first to create a higher density insert all the way through. But when this was tested, the data showed that the higher density insert eventually becomes hard enough to send the force further into the rims. The solution was to combine the lower density foam used in Rimpact Original with an outer casing of an extra protective layer. This created a product with better protection than anything else on the market, while maintaining the extremely low weight Rimpact has become famous for.

The outer layer of protection on the Rimpact Pro is made of a material that is soft and easy to work with when installing them but hardens in the event of an impact, just as most modern knee and back protectors. By using a material that gets harder the more severe the ice impacts, the Rimpact Pro does a job of protecting so you can focus on the fun and not worry about broken tires and rims.

Fits:

• Suitable for rims with an inner diameter of 23mm – 35mm and tyre widths 2.3″ – 2.6″. It is possible to use the insert with a narrower or wider tyre but it will increase the difficulty of fitting.
